All you ever wanted to know about...

...Dictionaries! Sometimes I like to look up random things on Wikipedia, and today, that random thing was dictionaries. I learned a few things while reading about the wordiest book of all, and thought I'd post the article here because it's interesting. Three cheers for literary / linguistic nerdiness?

  1. Remember all the dictionary studies we would do? The states, the trivia, the word finds? LOL Remember in 3rd grade when the Merriam Webster pocket dictionary we used for your homework stated a spider was an insect and NOT an arachnid. I had to look in the dictionary for the spelling on that.
